The wind for me is ZERO for now. That is why I just took my shower and going to wait for a bit then probably go. Dont want to get out really early like I usually do because not sure how long I will be able to sit!

Funny topic.... as i was surfing the net debating whether to go out this morning i read this post.... i am in Albany Tony so we're in the same boat.... 10 degrees or so and windy ... i am gonna stay put and work today then go out for tomorrow AM sit.. supposed to be colder but no wind.

Tough to get motivated with 2 deer in the freezer already!

    15, here w/ 5mph winds. I've hunted in worse........but.....

I didn't even THINK of going out. I've got 2-3hrs worth of work to finish a project, THEN I'm going hunting this afternoon.................and tomorrow.

Is it the meat or just being there?

:tu:Good question huck ...... my answer is it's a little bit of both ....

I work for myself so i can literally go out anytime i want..... and i wake up every morning at 5 and debate whether to head out for a couple of hours before i start work ..... and the weather plays a big part in my decision...

I don't care how tough / well prepared we are... it is a lot less enjoyable when the wind is ripping and the wind chill near 0 ... and there is no doubt i would be more likely to tough it out with an empty freezer.

Kinda like the "recovery" question .... everyone feels differently and no one is right or wrong ...

In my case, I need to take 2 more does (to donate). Would I rather do that in the even. or the AM?

I'd rather do it when I wasn't shivering!

You'll know when you're ready Jeff...
You'll be more sucessful when you take to the woods with all your heart. That can happen even when you're shivering...

    Let your heart guide you.
