    I hunted with that guy... he shot an eight point on his second sit... right in the buttox. My dog finally found it the next morning... but he became a great friend and fell in love with both bowhunting and bowfishing. Enjoy the journey... offer advice but don't let it ruin your joy.

    Most of the others have covered it for the most part. To me it all depends on where he is hunting. If it's your land or lease then I would tell him he needs to prove to you that he's proficient with the bow first. Set up some criteria and go with that. If it's state land, well I'd say just find a spot far enough away from him for when he starts flinging arrows all over the woods.
