Anybody like lobster? Plenty to do in Cali after you fill those deer tags. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1386172055.044608.jpg ImageUploadedByTapatalk1386172070.938269.jpg ImageUploadedByTapatalk1386172095.098340.jpg

I try not to get distracted and then go "O it's time ta hunt" ... In the off season I want to refine the areas that need refining, get the gear that is needed, scout the next falls battlefield, train as hard as phisically possible and shoot out and bust at least 4 dozen arrows and broadheads.

And drink a Mt Dew by the BBQ!

I will be 100% honest, my off season is more during the hunting season than in the off season. Food plots need refining/planting, travel corridors need refined with hinging/transplantings, bedding areas the same, mineral sites opened back up and kept up, habitat work everywhere, trees bought/transplanted/planted, future hunting spots picked up...and when not doing that I'm usually fishing if anything outside of family occurs ( a little softball from time to time too).

I do a little seasonal round up. Starting July and August. Hunt bucks in the mountains. When I usually fail at that I go bass fishing. Come around November and many many trips trying to out down a good buck. I switch to my doe tag that has been filled for the past four years. That overlaps lobster season which begins in October and run through march. March starts the largemouth bass span at the beautiful lake casitas. And the shad spawn quickly follows. However I fish bass year round. They just opened bow fishing for carp too. I gotta get on it. And yes I do work as well. Man it's good to be single. Well at least during the day. I shoot, scout, build arrows, & spend way too much time on bowhunting web sites.

First there's my daughters basketball season, followed up by my daughters softball season, a short(hot) summer break then starts my daughters fall softball season. Are we sensing a pattern here :)

When I'm not doing all of that, then I'm working on my food plots and land management. I'm going to see if I can squeeze in a couple 3D shoots this year too.

Scout, shed hunt, clear new stand sites(you can NEVER have too many). This year I am on an active search for more places to hunt(you can never have too many of those either!). Then once the ice melts it's time to fish.

This will be my first year having no off season. Ill be scouting out new hunting locations every weekend or working on improving the habitat of my property.

After I finish all of that it will be fly fishing, shooting, and working out. :tu:

Outside of getting ready for the next bow season, I spend A LOT of time on the front of my bass boat.
