If your bow is damaged in any way by rain it's time to switch bows. I've had my Hoyt since 06, never so much as wiped it down. Still good as new minus the camp rubbing off around the grip area. Not a speck of rust anywhere on it.

Accessories usually have bolts that will rust, you can replace w stainless bolts if a little surface rust on a sight bolt bothers you

I was asking about cleaning it my bow. I know how to clean guns after it is rained on, but bows are mostly aluminum or CF.

As everyone says, if you're bow rusts after a rain it is time to get a new bow. However, there's no harm in giving it a good wipedown after the rain before putting it back in the case

It's the bolts that rust on them. Everything else should be fine. The easiest way to dry it off is to shoot it if you've got someplace to do that out of the rain.

I wouldn't worry about it. They are made to hunt in the rain. Good luck.:deer:

Just wipe it down and fire it a few times to whip the water out of the string and then rewax. Mine has the roller style quick detach quiver so I have to oil it just a tad or it will squeak really loud placing and removing the quiver.

The bow itself will be fine. The finish on it protects it very well. The accessory bolts is usually where you find a small amount of surface rust. If it bothers you, you can wipe it off or wipe it down with a small amount of oil, or replace them with stainless steel bolts. Other than that, shoot you bow and enjoy it. The bow will take care of itself as far as the weather is concerned.
