My wife is a highschool basketball coach. She informed me that her jv coach called her today and told her that his oldest son had been shot and murdered in Prince George's County Md. WHAT the hell is wrong with people in this damn country these days? That is the 82nd murder in that county this year. 82 murders in one county in a year? This guy is a former military man and a man that served in combat to protect our country. And now his son is murdered?

Again, things are going to frriggin hell in this country. All these punks that terrorize our streets need to get thrown off a damn bridge with a cinder block on their ankle.

I am not trying to be funny when I say this, but I really believe this guy needs to be resurrected to "HANG EM HIGH". The hanging judge Isaac Parker.

My kids play with his grandkids at the games. This hurts me to even think about this crap. And my wife goes up to ****holes like PG county to scout b-ball games and such. I told her I don't want her going to ****hole areas any damn more.

She refuses to handle any gun. She will never do it, trust me. have asked her to do so. I I told her today that I am buying her pepper spray/mace that she will carry when she goes to unsavory places, even if another coach goes with her. She said she would it.

Brett - there is a pretty strong correlation between locations with dumb ass gun laws and high crime... Maryland's gun laws are draconian.

My condolences to the family, sucks when this happens to innocent folks.

Southern Maryland/DC, what is the difference. The amount of violent crime is just staggering. Kids being shot and killed, innocent people being carjacked, raped....good god.

Thank you Sean. We are losing the battle as men. The amount of good, strong MEN in our society is dwindling. Men of high character, mental strength, and physical strength are becoming rarities. And the evil amongst us preys on that weakness.

    This is why i became a firefighter/EMT.

I could rot away in the little town of Chatham, or i could do something with my life. Pretty simple choice to me.

Sorry to hear about this Brett :(

I thank you Caleb. Being an EMT/firefighter is not easy. It take constant mental and physical preparation to get it done. You have my respect.

i used to worry about my oldest at nearly 9 now, but honestly, i'm confident he has been raised right and will be able to handle himself and situations he's faced with... my little guy on the other hand I DO worry about... he don't give a F about anything really... granted, he's only 5, but still... he's going to be my problem child I think...

Get her a tazer. And mace.

City of Chicago is up to almost 400 homicides so far this year. (that's the city.. not the whole county)

Funny that Chicago also has some of the toughest gun control laws in the USA. How's that working for you King Daley?? (who, BTW, blamed the Fort Hood murders on "America's Love of guns")

    Then there's this: http://www.myfoxnepa.com/dpp/news/d...-to-remove-flagpole-lwf-200912031259873652346

I just purchased a nice little holster this morning for me and some mace/pepper spray/something else for my wife to carry on her jaunts to the local craphole areas around here.
