I do have a rangefinder. I will look into those Lacrosse boots thanks for the suggestion. As much as I want to buy on the internet I try to avoid buying things like shoes online. Although Cabela's return policy is really customer friendly so I might just order through them. I need to get gloves too from Cabelas. I was going to get the full season scent lok gloves in vertigo although that may look really funny with my ASAT 3d suit.
For gloves, I usually go with Under Armour since they're thin and warm and I can feel things through them. But I still end up cutting the finger tips out of them
A great way to stock up on needed hunting supplies is to wait until the season ends and everyone is clearancing stuff off. This last season I bought a fleece mid layer, ground blind, sticks, stand, seat, calls, scent blocker items and probably a few other items... I think everything was at least 50% off. The best thing you can do is educate yourself. Listen to what the old people say and try to see where that can fit into your style / grounds. Read and watch all you can. There is so much information out there. Also, once you are comfortable enough to go out on your own, take a drive around your area or get online and look at areas. When you find a few you like, go ask the owners if you can hunt there.
