what state would you want to own hunting property in

    wow only 1 person said Iowa and nobody Missouri.....if I could purchase land in another state it would be either of these...Iowa or Missouri

    Iowa only makes good sense if you are going to move here and become a resident. Otherwise, its going to take you up to 5 years to get an archry tag in the lottery for a non-resident. Owning land does not equal residency, thank goodness! I believe Missouri still has OTC tags, so that would get the nod between the two.

    Come on down to Louisiana, long seasons and over the counter. Great hunting (deer, hogs, water fowl and quail) and fishing (salt water and fresh water). I am originally from Kansas and miss it but the winters don’t excite me anymore.
