I would say eastern NC or Southeast Virginia. it is a toss up. Both states have great bucks and awesome potential.

Similar thinking. Plus plentiful public lands.

But I think WY or MT would be more my gig. I think move of the species Bails mentions +/- are also present, but the land space and conservative political ideology in these two states (with some difference generally in metro areas) align more with my thinking. My wife would veto however due to winter temps.

    AZ and NM are possibilities.

AK would have to also attractive and worth consideration but would be costly and have other challenges.

I love whitetail hunting, but the mountains and western hunting seem to have found a place in my heart.

Colorado or give up the idea of food plots and head to Idaho.

Yep. Only 3 or 4 deer in KY and half of the bucks are spikes.

Our family has a ranch in WMU 212 (archery only zone in Alberta); I'd love to have my own land near there. We have trophy elk, moose, mule deer, and white tail. The problem is the land goes for about $1.5 million per 160 acres

Oklahoma is good, but in my opinion definitely not a top 5 whitetail state.

Good, don't come hunt here. We have this thing called wind and it's a challenge making long range shots. And numbers don't lie, we are rising through the ranks quickly.

Just about anywhere, I have never hunted anything over 20 acres in the suburbs, I would love to get out of the way a little bit. My hope for when I am older is to own at least 50 acres.

Oklahoma also has tool bags. And you are the first on the list. Numbers don't lie.

Maryland has an abundance of game but land is sparse and expensive usually. West Virginia land is cheaper and so is Pennsylvania. Great corridor for getting many opportunities of game.
