I have got a 2000 chevy silverado with a 4in lift and currently running 275/65r20 pro comp xtreme m/t. I snapped a sway bar link earlier this year and wore the front tires pretty bad. So my first thought was to buy 2 of the same tires and be done with it but procomp discontinued this paticulare size of tire. Now i am just woundering what tire size i should go with because i want to go a little bit bigger but dont know how big i could/should go. So does anybody have any suggestions on size and/or brand.

Can't beat Nitto Trail Grapplers IMO. Wear great and look amazing for the price point.

I run 295/70 R18 Trail Graps under my Ford with a leveling kit up front. I love the squatted look it provides without being obnoxiously high off the ground when cruising around. 7 MPG pulling the lawncare rig isn't any fun though.

Can't suggest a good size, but I LOVE my Wrangler DuraTracs! They have great tred, but they aren't obnoxious on the road. Great in snow & mud too!

I've ran both tired Trevor and Fitz recommend. Currently, I'm running 265/75/16 Duratracs on my 05 Tacoma. Love them! They're louder on the highway than the Terra Grapplers, but they grip much better both on and off road. I got over 50K on my Terra Grapplers, and I was happy with them. I just wanted something a little better in the snow (the Duratrac is snow rated). Ironically, we got a grand total of 4" of snow here I believe this winter, so they never were tested. I currently have about 8K and they're wearing well. I rotate every 5K.

As for sizes, I can't help you there as I'm not familiar with Chevy trucks, especially that year. You might want to check out fullsizechevy.com. They have a great set of forums.

I have LT285/75r16 on my 01 Chevy and I wouldnt suggest getting much bigger than that. They fill my wheel wells nicely! Just go ask a tire shop what the biggest tire that you could put on it and go from there!

Those are 32s (265-75-R17), with a 2.5" lift. But it's hard to compare jeeps to trucks.

I have 285/75r16 Hercules Terra Tracs on my truck, they are alright. My truck wears tires pretty bad, so I can't tell you how well they wear.

I've got a 2001 silverado and am running Yokohama Geolander A/T-S. They aren't a super aggressive off road tire (which helps keep the mileage bearable) but have had plenty of grips when I have pushed them - also ride decent down the highway...

Normally you can put 31s on any offroad truck or SUV. There is usually enough clearance from the factory, and you don't abolutely need a lift kit. But the lift kit is great with 31s.

For 33s you normally need a lift kit and a transmission modification. So I would go for 31s but no larger.

My Jeep Cherokee Sport 4.0L 4D 4WD currently has Big-O LT31x10.50R15Cs M+S on it, and they should fit on your truck as well.

Big-O does a great job and their products are ultra reliable.

Nice Jeep Fitz. I used to have that exact model in the 1985 year. Best offroad vehicle on this Earth.

Now I have a Cherokee Sport version, very similar, but not the same thing.
