What should i use ?

    Im going bow hunting for elk in colorado Sept 18 what type broadhead would be good?

    my son shot two deer last year with the rage 2 the rage went in about an inch on both deer. never found them. they were about 20 yards away. bow is set at 50 lbs ! i think the rage sucks any ideas ?

    I would suggest a stout fixed blade. There are several good choices out there to recommend. First, what is your set up? Bow, poundage, and draw length. Arrow weight will help as well.

    I'd pick a good fixed blade also. As for the rage or any big cut mechanicals, you need KE and momentum for penetration, shooting only 50 lbs with a head like that on an animal like a elk, its pretty hard to blame that on the broadhead IMO.
