Hey I am wanting to see what you all think about this matter. I have decided to break down and get the new Mathews Halon. I go to my local dealer and he has one that fits me but it's the demo. I asked if I could get for any less and he wouldn't budge. Not only that, I decided Friday I was going to get it and as he was working on it my friend drawed back and dry fired it. He had to order a a niece piece for it therefore I didn't actually get it that day. Spoke to a buddy of mine and he said to spend that much money I'd get a brand new one never shot. Only kind of negative is I'd have to wait about 2 months, but nothing going on anyways. What do you all think? Get the one in store is just as good or wait and order same one but never been a demo or dry fired???

I agree with Sota, wait for the new one. And never let your friend touch your bow again once you get it :) .

Without question. Without a demo model discount...you have to wait the 2 months.

Definitely wait 2 months. Brand new and never dry fired is a good deal.

There is no question I would wait even if it wasn't dry fired, but that seals the deal for me!

I would wait for sure. Why pay full price for a bow that's been shot numerous times, now dry fired, when you can get an brand new out of the box for the same? Who knows how that demo has been handled by everyone that's tested it.

If I were dropping that much change, and for full price, I'd want it new. Or just wait a few more months and pick up a used one when someone gets bored with theirs ha.

I'd never buy a demo. I managed a sporting goods store in the 80's. The sound of dry fired bows still rings in my ears.

With a "new" bow, you can get the color and all the options that you want not what is on the rack along with it being new if you have to pay for it, you might as well get what you're paying for.

No way would I buy the "shop" bow. (without a heavy discount)

Buying a bow is like getting married. Do you want the one that everyone in town has had their hands on??? ;)
