don't need to keep up with the Jones'.

As long as you can put an arrow where you want, no need to buy new... especially if you don't want to.

I wouldn't get a new one unless something is wrong with your current or you want a new one. Who cares what everyone else is shooting. And I would also post this in the bowhunting section not the introduction section. Not alot of people read threads posted here!

I understand what you feeling. if your going to get a new Bow wait a year after all of you peers have bought thiers and then get a newer one. this way your bow is nicer. but it doesn't matter what type of bow you have it or how old it is.

I voted yes, but that's because I think you will dig a new bow. I'm sure your old bow is quite capable, as I formerly used a very old bow myself. My new bow is so excellent, that I wouldn't go back. Go shoot some bows, if you don't like them enough to buy a new one, then don't. My bow completely set up was like $650, and it's a beast imo. No need to spend $1000+ on a new bow when you're coming from one that old.

    Pick one up off craigslist.
There's a guy selling a brand new loaded carbon element, blacked out for $800.
I've seen Mathews DXTs for as low as $500 loaded.

That will give you a good upgrade at an affordable price.

If you still don't want to upgrade, don't! I shot for a long time with my old Mathews and my friends were using a brand new hoyt and bowtech.
