Is a quartering away shot better than a braodside shot?

I would say broadside is better. W/broadside, you can hit both lungs and heart with one shot. I suppose you could do the same with quartering away, but broadside is a larger target.

I think it depends on the degree that they are quartering from you...I would say I definitely prefer the quartering away shot though. I feel that quartering I like to shoot when there head is down or facing the opposite direction and i always aim for the opposite shoulder on the quarter shots. Gives a good target and don't have to worry about punching one through the shoulder and all that bone.

Depends...there is a big difference between a slightly quartering away shot and hard quartering away

I would say it's hard to go wrong with a broadside shot opportunity...but slightly quarter away is good too

I'd say slight to 45 degree 1/4 for me.

i would say broadside because it's easier to get a full pass through after hitting all of the vitals

They'll both kill the deer if the arrow is placed right.

slightly quartering away so you have room to slide it behind the front shoulder easier

Quartering away; ground level, entry at the last rib, exit in front of shoulder bone is the perfect shot in my book. It takes out every vital organ in one shot (liver, both lungs and heart).
