with of the 3 is the most hardy and would be the best choice in a very newly worked area. oats, winterwheat or cereal rye? the ground was sprayed, tilled and about 100lbs of triple 19 was applied. bout 1/4 acre. this is a native spot, never been farmed and is in the woods buts get plenty of sunlight.
Wow that's 400 lbs of fertilizer per acre, all three of those should grow good. I'd also plant about three lbs of white or ladino clover for a 1/4 acre plot with them. Clover won't do much this year, but should be good the next few years, save you from having to work it up and planting ever year. Clover, winter wheat and oats do good on acidic soil so if you didn't get any lime on your plot, they should still grow good. bowhtr1 mentioned lime and shade. Lime helps most plants to use fertilizer better. Soil tests are a good idea. Any part of the plot that doesn't get full sunlight will not grow good.
