What one piece of equipment, is going to give you the upper hand this year? (I'm not talking about you bow or your arrows or your ability to be a ninja either)

Is it new to your collection, or an old tried and true tool?

    Mine?

This is how I can get in and out of most of my hunting areas w/o being detected. This is from last year, AugustIce's first deer ever...

I'm looking to get a lot of use out of it this year. Beats draggin' any day!:D

I had it last year but, even this year, it will be the gps.

Better boots. Nothing worse than having your feet go numb because of cold.

Fitz, I plan on pulling out the canoe/kayak this year as well. I need to access some spots without busting up the top parts of the ridges as I enter. I think my kayak may be my secret weapon this year.

For me this year, I'm excited to have the Muddy sticks. I've dreamed of this design for years, kinda cool to see it all come together. Already used them in the field in run&gun velvet rut set-ups. They are slick! Can't wait to use the harness/ stick holster clip combo this fall either!

My new Cottonwood Outdoors Replacement seat for my API Climber. From what I ca tell by trying it out in the backyard, this seat is much more comfortable than the old one that was getting pretty flat. The new seat should allow me to sit still for longer periods of time this season. Ans sitting stiil on stand should up the odds of not being seen.

my artic shield boot covers and my cabelas hand muff, last year my feet and my hands got cold about 11:30 am during an all day sit, obviously the rest of the sit was spent trying to warm them up instead of sitting still and focusing on the hunt....this year that will NOT happen lol

4 new stand sites and a climber. I'll be able to bounce around more this year, and let certain places remain un-hunted until the time is right.

I made upgrades to my clothing and boots this year which should help me spend more time on stand even in the most frigid conditions.
