I'm buying a new trail cam next week and I've decided to go with a covert. Sell me on what model I should buy.

I really love my MPE5 if you are looking for something on the cheaper side. It has amazing picture quality. For $110 you cant go wrong with it. That being said if you are willing to spend the extra cash by all means go with the red 40 or the black 60.

Here are a couple samples from my MPE5

Cant go wrong with any of them...but the blackout is the best by far...little on the higher price side.

I have 2 2012 Red 40s, 3 MPE5s, and 3 MP6s. I think I like my Red 40s the best, although you really can't go wrong with any of them. I think I am going to try the new Red 40s next.

I'll be using it on trails and scrapes this fall. Budget is about $130.

I personally would watch for the MP6BLACK to go on sale at Wingsupply.com with the coupon code I posted about. That way with the blackflash nothing notices it.

Keep us updated on what you end up getting.

If using on scrapes, you should go with a black flash. MP6 Black or Black 60 with HD video. These two will be a little more than $130. MP6 and MPE5 will be in the your budget of $130

Thanks for all the help so far fellas. Couple of questions.... is the lock box necessary or is there a way to run a cable through it? I've had 3 cameras stolen over the years and I'd rather not add a $100+ camera to that list.

I have boxes for all my cameras. after having one stolen its not worth it not to have one on ur cams. I would definitely recommend the box over the cable.
