So, I just bought some aluminums from Walmart for $2 each. I see arrows at Cabelas for over $200 a dozen. I have a question about these. Why are they so expensive? What makes them so much better then the crappy practice arrows I have? I just want to know what makes them worth the price.
First, I am not sure what arrows are $200 a dozen. Second, its all in the materials and the factory tolerances. Most $100 a dozen have a straightness of .003 or less which is very good and a weight difference of around .5 grains.
One word separates Great arrows from all the rest. Consistency. Great arrows will have all of the following: Consistent Spine Consistent weight Consistent Straightness and the most over looked consistently precise components.
