What Kind of Tree is this... Revisited....

    Some of you may or may not remember or may have no idea it ever existed... but there is a tree at my grandfathers place that absolutely gets mutilated by deer every year... so I set out to find out what it is...

    Though those pics are gone... I have fresh. It's not a persimmon...lol. I I think Quick and Swamp collie had it right witht he callery pear... but callery pear is only 1/4" to 1/2" in diameter... this is slightly larger than that...

    And then Pigiron Nailed it for me mentioning that I'm looking at a wild state of callery pear.... very interesting stuff to me...

    When I made this post last year... it bared hardly any fruit... it made up for it this year...

    You tree guys agree its a callery though the size is a bit larger(not much). Now that I have better pics of the fruit ? If anything I wanted to revisit this to show the amount of fruit it produced this year.
