Ive been hunting with mine hanging on the loop for a few years now and have never had an issue. Even when stalking up on dead (hopefully dead) deer I keep it clipped on and have never knocked it off. The pros out weigh the cons for me. No worries when a deer comes in fast, just grab and go. Also my particular release just happens to click into one of the holes in my riser for a great place to store it when not in use. The only thing I did with mine was to put a thin layer of adhesive foam to add some grip and warmth on cold days since I prefer to shoot without a glove when I can. I posted a picture of it earlier in the thread.

Good to hear, great release and I love mine, the only problem with them is price.

I absolutely love my T.R.U Ball Max Pro 4, which is a thumb release. When it comes to a release, remember the less contact with your string or d-loop you have the more accurate/consistent you will be. Basically, make sure you get one with smaller jaws. Personally I wouldn't skimp on a release, just like I wouldn't skimp on arrows.
