It is starting to get to that point in the season, where I am thinking about scents, and using a drag rag. What scents do you all use, and how do you use them?

I have used code blue tarsel gland scent in a spray bottle a few times this year. So far I have had a couple bucks come right to it ... they seem to really be attracted to it. I have been spraying it on grass/weeds about the heighth of the tarsel glands coming to and in my shooting lanes.

I use doe urine on a drag rag into my stand site and recently changed to freshening the rag and walking out another 150-200 yds past on the trail then set up a doe in estrus key wick on two corners of the area my stand is in. Liberal dose of scent killer spray after climbing up the tree and secured. I don't worry about the buck scents until it starts getting a little cooler and the rut starts to move in. You have to try different things and see what works for you.

Smokey's pre-orbital scent is all I use, make a licking branch with it and the scrape will take care of itself.
