I definitely could lose about 20, I'd honestly like to lose more. I'm 6' even, and bounce back and forth between 210 and 220. I will make an absolute best effort starting August 1st. Sounds like an excuse, but I'm currently sized for a tux (wedding in 5 weeks), but after the wedding I'm gonna give it hell, I'm really ready to get it done. I know how to do it, I did it once about 5 years ago and really got in great shape and ended up losing about 35lbs. I was in great shape back in high school and college as well, but the 9-5 desk job lifestyle has really taken it's toll. :bash:

I can still hike moderate terrain all day long with a stand on my back, etc. With that said, last year hunting in the Adirondacks I really got my butt kicked getting up to the top of some of those mountains, there are some pretty extreme elevation changes and they really kick my butt. I'm also starting to develop some knee problems (runs in the family) and I know losing weight and staying in shape will only help those.

Long and lean best describes me. 6' 3" and 180#

I weigh less now than I did in High School 30 something years ago(185# tops back then). I have gained about 5 pounds in the last year, I was at 170-175 for 20 or so years. I guess moving into the office at work can get some of the blame for that.:bash:

    round is a shape right??

i've dropped about 17lbs so far, getting in better condition, running a couple times a week... still need to drop another 25 or so by season, gonna be a rough one to do so... in the meantime, i'm laying off the fat and cutting my portion size down... lotsa chicken breast, lotsa green veggies (broccoli, cauliflower, green beans), salads, fresh fruit... at 6-1 for me to be in good condition for sports, kids, and hunting I need to be under 200, preferably 190, so 25-30lbs to go and keep up with the conditioning and diet and i'll be there i think in time for the season...

I am 5'9 1/2" and a whopping 137#'s.I actually thought I had put on a few pounds but had a health screening the other day and I am 2 lbs lighter than I was 2 years ago at the same time.My cholesterol was perfect and my blood pressure was within the accepted levels.

I do not excersize other than normal everyday activities at work and such.My wife cooks relatively healthy. But eat pretty much what I want when I want.

It will probably catch up with me 1 day but for now,I am doing good.I would definately need to bulk up a bit and do some major cardio if I were to head into the mountains for some serious hunting.

actually im very happy where im at right now. I was 230 + lbs three years ago and am currently 181 lbs. Through diet and weights ( recently p90X ) I feel better than i have in along time. Im actually 6 lbs lower than my senior year in high school and ill be 44 in a couple weeks ;) I dropped the weight very slooooowww so my body could get used to the adjustment so i can maintain. I actually did 13 wide grip chins the other day :tu: not bad for an old guy eh??

6' and around 235-240 here, even though I put some crushing workouts on my stepper, I like to eat and drink a few cold ones occasionally as well. I'd like to drop a few pounds before chasing Elk in Sept, and have been cutting back on portions, and not as much beer, but I was okay at 235# when I went the last time after the first couple of days of the altitude killing me, so I'll survive. On a positive note, my cholesterol was perfect in Jan. and other than some MILD high blood pressure, I'm pretty darn healthy. Having both heart disease and diabetes in the family, motivates me to try to stay in decent shape.

I need to gain weight. I weigh 145lbs at 5'7". I would love to be around 160. I am gonna start running again here soon and I have already started working out. In high school I used to wrestle and I would run 9 miles a day and had about 4% body fat. Those days are long over.lol. I just need to get in decent shape.

I think I'm doing alright. I'm 5'10", 195lbs. I average 90 hours a week with my job and all the wood I cut and split by hand keeps my ass In shape. My legs are what needs to get back to what they once were so I'm hoping to fix that this summer. Talk Is cheap though, been there done that one!!;) Like Gri22ly said though, I have no Idea If I'm actually "healthy". I need to get my butt In to the doctor and get my cholesterol checked and get a physical, cholesterol and heart problems run high In my family on both sides. To this day I haven't had a physical since high school.

I'm 5'11" and 185lbs. By the end of the summer/beggining of hunting season, I would like to be down to 170. I have lost 10lbs in the last couple of months, so I think I'm doing alright. Back when I was a freshman in high school I wrestled 112, sophmore I was at 135, junior year I started at 152 and ended up at 135 by the end of the year, my senior year I was at 152 all year long...Man, I do not miss the days of cutting weight. That is no fun. I can honestly say I felt 100X better when I was at 6% body fat.

5' 11" 178.2 lbs and have never been in bad shape. Played sports all my life (still am). I've never been a fitness nut as far as lifting or workout schedules etc... I've done my fair share and still do to this day. I'm just not obssesed with it. I get more than enough excersise just doing what I do everyday.

I do think it helps you a little bit with hunting. I notice it helping me especially towards the end of the season. My body isn't as whipped as others. Those days where you want to hunt that stand "way back there" but your legs say screw you lol. Being in shape helps you stay mentally alert too. Like someone said they drag themselves to the stand, climb up and by the time they are settled the are exhausted. Doesn't do much good to help you focus when you're tired.

I'm currently about 5'9" and 190 lbs. My first year of college did indeed add some extra weight to me, but I don't really weigh that much more than I did in my football days. The loss of muscle and replacement with fat seems to be balancing out. I just started a workout routine the other days and I'm hoping to tone up and lose about 10 lbs. in the process. If I get really serious I'll look into buying p90x, as I've only heard positive things about it.

I'm 5'8" 160 or so. Pretty decent cardio shape but one can always improve. Been on a crusade to trim my waist some more. Them stubborn lil' love handles aggravate the heck out of me when I look in the mirror.

Right now I am 6' 2" and 245#. Definitely not where I want to be but I am down from 258# around Christmas. I would like to get back down to a solid 220#. About 5 years ago I went on what many of us know as the "Divorce Diet" and although I don't recommend it to anyone I got down to about 215# and felt great. The key now is figuring out how to lose the weight in a healthy way. My doctor recommened setting a goal of like 3-4 pounds a month.

I need to do something because my friggin body aches, my whole left side from my lower back to my hip to my knee to my ankle to my toes is all screwed up, lately it has been my right shoulder blade area near my spine hurts when I take a deep breath and occasional tingly nerves down the outside of my arm to my pinky. Somethings not lined up right anymore.

Anyone use a chiropractor? Positives? Negatives?

I'm 5'11" at 160 lbs. No gut and good muscle mass. And I owe it all to my high metabolism:d

Unfortunately, my physical shape is that of an oval.

At least it still looks like it is standing on end. I don't know how much longer until it tips over!
