According to several universities "Corn belongs to the Poaceae family, and while eaten sometimes as a vegetable and sometimes as a grain, it is actually classified by botanists as a fruit, as are tomatoes, green peppers, cucumbers, zucchini and other squashes.

That being the case, my favorite vegetables are fruits.

Wait a minute! I just found out that garlic and onions are vegetables! Okay - my list is corrected to:
    1. Garlic (fresh, not cooked)
    2. Onions (fresh and then cooked)
    3. The fruity vegetables of cucumbers, zuchinni, and then tomatoes
    4. Carrots, radishes, cauliflower turnips (all fresh, not cooked)
    5. Cabbage (fresh or cooked)
    6. Lettuce
    that's it.

Lima beans, sweet corn, peas, asparagus. The year's first potatoes, fresh home-grown tomatoes. Fresh, roasted bell peppers. (Love them with deer steak or sausage.) Fresh green beans cooked with bacon. Anything that I grew and picked myself. As a matter of fact, I noticed peas poking through on Sunday.
