Can be either snacks or main course. Share your favorite Super Bowl Recipe. Looking for some new ideas for our family to make. Interested in what good food others are making.
At my Achery club..... We had Bear Steaks n Burgers for the NFC Championship game....gonna be hard to top that!
My sister accidently used cinnamon instead of chili powder once while making a pot of chili. Nastiest stuff I ever ate, I hope yours is better than hers was.
Wow, nobody is willing to give up the goods on the recipes???? I have a really easy to make spicy chicken dip. 1 package of cream cheese 1 can of cream of mushroom soup 1 can of cooked chicken drained (easy way) or you could cut up your own cooked chicken. This can should be about twice the size of a tuna can. 1 can (small) of diced green chilies drained 1/2 can (small) of diced jalapeno's drained or to your taste for spicy. The green chilies and jalapeno's are the very small cans that they sell them in, probably only a couple of oz. throw everything into a medium sauce pan, medium heat stirring occasionally until warm and serve.
I agree on the beer notes! But seriously? Only 1 guy wants to talk about what good food they plan to make on Super Bowl Sunday? I thought this was national holiday.
I will have to get it from my wife.. but she makes the best crockpot meatballs.. gotta have good meatballs on SB.. I know she puts grape jelly and some other sauces (barbeque) in there..
Half a block of Velveeta cheese melted down with one can of Rotel. Dip with white corn chips... Wait, that's my favorite recipe EVERY night. Guess that includes the Super Bowl too...
i'm a sucker for homemade wings... haven't found many places that taste better that warrant the long drive to go get em... downside is that wings are kind messy to make, however, my brew pot/burner make a nice kettle to do large quantities of them quickly... better/faster than the counter top fry daddy anyway...
I generally like naked wings when I go out but at home I bread them, it holds the sauce a bit better... wife does a fairly standard fried chicken breading (I let her do the breading part), using a soak in buttermilk for about 30 mins (this is absolute KEY) and then a breading made from finely crushed saltines with cornmeal and flour (we don't do formal recipes so this is all done "to taste")... we also drop in some black pepper and cayenne in the breading... deep fried at 450+ degrees til golden brown (about 12 mins +/-), drain, put in a steel mixing bowl... sauce (this is not an exact science), Frank's redhot & butter mixed to taste, splash of Tabasco Chipotle (to get that smoked pepper flavor), bring to a very mild boil to cook off some of the vinegar, which will concentrate the pepper sauce and thicken it a little so mix it initially a touch on the weak side cuz it'll get hotter quickly, especially the leftovers the next day... making good wings is not rocket science, one of the easier things to do actually, just a bit messy...
