In the latest episode of Bowhunt or Die Justin mentioned using nothing but scent free soap and deodorant during the hunting season. I have decided that was a smart move but am not sure what to use, The hunting deodorant I have now seems to be pretty weak. Any ideas?

I use Scent-away products. They work for me.

I used to use one of the hunting brand ones, but scent-free is scent-free no matter what brand it is. I just buy the Arm and Hammer non-scented nowadays from the grocery store. I think it makes for a better anti-perspirant anyways.

Wildlife Research Center body wash. It has aloe. so it helps if you got dry scalp. As far as deodorant scent away. You know it's doing something when you get home and your girlfriend says "you don't smell like you." lol

I'm a dead down wind guy. I usually buy my stuff when Walmart puts it on clearance at the end of the season

I tend to use Dead Down Wind Bodywash/Shampoo. I use Mitchum Unscented Gel Deodorant. It has a touch of smell, but I cant stand the white stick deodorant, and this seems to work for me.

I will be the odd ball, and that's fine. I spent tons of $ on scent free soaps etc... over the years and on a "quick" hunt two seasons ago, I rushed home, jumped in the shower to find no scent free soap so I used my regular daily soap (Irish Spring) and headed out. Saw more deer that night than before from the stand and none of them were wary of me sitting in the tree. It got me to thinking about all these "scent free" products so I stopped using them and have not had any issues. I bathe before leaving the house for each hunt but use regular soap.

That stuff is so misleading its not funny. Was on sale at one of the local stores last year, $1 a pop so I bought 4 of them. Putting some on on the way to the stand and was overcome by talc, sure enough right on the ingredients is talc. Pitched them all. Used to be speed stick or right guard had true unscented, but I haven't been able to find it in store for awhile, seems everything has at least some sort of fragrance to it now.

I usually go in after shotgun season when things start going on clearance. Usually get bar soap and deodorant for about $2 apiece, stock up for the next year when I can. Usually the hunters specialities line

I tend to use Dead Down Wind.

It's not that I'm a firm believer in it; I'd just prefer not to smell like Old Spice in the stand.

I'm playing with an ozonics this fall, so I'm interested in the results.

Tink's B-Tech ... pretty happy with the results. But scent elimination is different then completely blocking scent; you still have to hunt smart and play the wind.

I use speed stick unscented antiperspirant.

Used Scent Away body wash but find Scent Killer body wash is better on the hair.

I use scent killer deodorant when I can get it cheap. Dove unscented is just as good and often cheaper.

First post here. Might as well be a useful one. Write it down, it may not happen often.

Deo-Arm & Hammer from the discount store. Year round.
Body Soap-Unscented Dove from the discount store. Year round.
Hair Soap-Dead Down Wind before the hunt
Toothpaste-Dead Down Wind before the hunt with the addition of A & H Baking soda to the mix
    Laundry-Unscented "All"-Year round
    Dryer Sheets-Unscented Bounce-year round

I pretty much live scent control year round just because I don't want scents in the house. Therefore it's easy when season comes round. Is scent control the holy grail? Not necessarily but it's a piece in the puzzle.
