So I have two bow stands and four box blinds, on tv they seem to be 24 feet high, but all the stands I have seen are 10 ft to maybe 20, for you long time bow stand guys, how high do I need to be?

I like mine 20-25' up.... but depends on the terrain/coverage.

I'd say there isn't a right height but there is a better height for best shot angle and that of course is low. By low I mean 12-15 feet.

Good advice. Ten feet up isn't out of their peripheral vision.

Yes, your shot zone gets smaller as you go up, but if you shoot at 25yds out Vs 5yds out....not an issue.

I like about 20 feet myself. I know some folks who go up a lot higher, maybe I'm scared of heights.

Generally 18-25 ft. But have been higher and still been able to reach out and touch the mountain I was hunting on. Don't do that much anymore as my equilibrium can't handle the carnival ride anymore once the winds pick up.
