What is the obsession (from both sides) with Sarah Palin?

    I don't get it (or at least the extent of it)

    Is it that she is attractive? Does the media hate her that much because she is a women on the wrong side of their agenda?

    She is a politician making statements and pushing for things she believes in. No different than most other politicians. Perhaps she is more polarizing?

    She has her own TV show, her daughter danced on Dancing with the Stars. People eat it up. My question is why? She only gets her own show because people watch.

    If a prominent female Democrat wanted their own show would they get it? Doubtful.

    I don't get it... please help.

    she lives rent free 24/7 in liberals heads... its friggin beautiful... even if she never runs for another political office most dems are absolutely besides themselves over her and never ever miss a chance to put a target on her back... hysterical!!!

    A strong-willed woman who doesn't look like Janet Reno (and, who isn't a Hollywood actress or a pop star) threatens the left.

    I would never vote for her because she quit her last job, but she's fun to watch on Fox. I think she is in a perferct role for her right now.

    imho, her being the spotlight gives most other conservatives/republicans a lot of cover... allows those planning a presidential bid in 12 to sit in the back room and keep quiet while the dems focus on her...

    I generally vote republican, but Palin kinda worries me. I think she really hurt McCain in 2008. She's attractive, but thats about the only redeeming quality I've found in her. I couldn't vote for her.

    I'd prefer if we stay on topic why she gets so much attention rather than if you like her or not or what she does for the republican party.

    I tend to agree... however, I think the specter of her running will divert a lot of attention... and it will up republican fund raising... two things she is very good at... I think she will be content to be a republican 'king maker' and fund raiser... and she'll do quite well at it...

    i will say this... I'd vote for her before I'd vote for joe biden as pres... biden is practically the dan quayle of the left...
