What is the current allure with vampires?

What in the heck is so alluring to women of all ages in regards to vampires? VAMPIRES VAMPIRES VAMPIRES are everywhere on tv and on the big screen and I am getting tired of it!

 

It's all about immortal love or some other tree hugging hippy crap.

 

Those guys look more like _____ suckers than blood suckers. I don't know what the allure is, maybe thats the new bad boy image?

 

Hell, if they want someone who kills to sustain life then why not look to fine fellow like ourselves? This Vampire crap is ridiculous already!

 

Raceway and button, I think you both are onto something. Women say they want a good guy but deep down inside.....................

 

I wonder if they target B&C humans. It would seem to be the most efficient.

Haven't seen a second of any of these movies/shows. The guys look uber metrosexual. The girls .......well.....it's hard to look past the blood sucker part.

 

Vampires have always been around in pop culture. They may be on a little bit of a spike now, but you can look back and find vampires all over the place.

 

Some of the "good" vampires choose to feed on animals, thereby sparing humans. Then we as humans are supposed to open our arms up and support them because it is not their fault that they became a vampire. I would not be suprised if on one of the shows that Congress passes an anti-vampire discrimination law. hahahaha!


Guys, my wife and some of her friends are crazy about the vampire series True Blood. I want to slap her out of it.

 

I actually watch True Blood. I didn't think I would like it but my wife got me turned on to it. Its not a love story by any means as it doesn't show on HBO for nothing. As for the others....I don't watch nor care to.

I'd tell you to check it (True Blood) out but I know you won't. Its not something you want to watch until the kids go to bed.

Edit: Just saw your post about your wife watching it. Have you ever seen an episode?

Bruce, the first True Blood show I was forced to sit down and watch with my wife involved a werewolf doggystyling a shewolf on a stage in a bar....BIZARRO world I tell you, bizarro world.

 

I have only seen the first two seasons. We don't get HBO. I have to wait until the third season goes on sale.

So, after you and the wife watched the doggy styling thing................

The whole werewolf thing has just been introduced this year. I don't really care for it but its not too bad. And where where else can you watch a werewolf doggy stylin' a shewolf?

 

I'm sure you can find some episodes online. The finale is Sunday night.
