I filmed a bow kill last year with a GO PRO. It made the doe look like she was 10 miles away. Maybe there's a way to fix that but I can't figure it out. I then heard mention that one of the new stabilizer cams (I can't remember which brand), works better than a GO PRO, has no vibration issues and keeps the target close up and focused. Any advice? Thanks,
I've heard good things about tactacam but have never used one. I prefer self filming with a camcorder/camera arm
I'm a dealer for Tactacam , so obviously I believe that they're one of the best bow mounted cameras on the market !!!! No fish bowl concaves on the side of the videos ( unlike some of the Go Pros ) If put into pic mode, takes a pic about every second (as good of a pic as any of my cameras) And comes standard 12 megpix lens.... If a deer is 30 yds. away, it looks 30 yds. way on the video. Go to Tactacam website and judge for yourself, think you'll like what you see......
I've also heard good things about Tactacam. I'm looking at picking one up to mount to the bow this fall.
Really think you'll like it Fitz, only thing different between the old cameras and the new ones is that they changed the light ( blinks when filming) from a blue light to a green light and it is harder for me to see in my old age LOL, but I just go by the camera vibrations anyway !!! OH, also the new cameras have a 2 power magnification if put in the right mode also.....
Just letting you know that in Colorado bow mounted electronics are illegal. Not saying you were hunting in Colorado but just making sure you know. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
