AS the title said, What is the best penetrating (If you can recall list the poundage of your bow you used with it) head you have ever used.

Reason being I am thinking of going to a fixed blade but I would like one that can penetrate.
    (sorry for poor english/spelling lol)

a cut on contact with the fewest blades will give you the least amount of friction

Hard to say, every animal I've shot in the last 15 years, with the exception of my moose, has been a clean pass through plus no matter what the head. 70 lbs of draw at 30" with a 560 grain arrow will do that for you.

In chronological order from earliest to most recent:
NAP Thunderhead 125 (whitetails, wild boar, elk, turkey)
NAP Thunderhead 100 (blacktail, the moose non-pass through)
Muzzy 3 blade 125 (brown bear)
NAP Spitfire 125 (whitetails, blacktails, caribou)
    G5 Montec 125 (blacktails)
G5 Stryker 125 (bison, blacktails, mule deer)

The reason for not getting through the moose was center punching ribs on both sides with inadequate energy and in no way was a fault of the head, other than it was a 100 grain rather than 125 and on too light of an arrow (26" XX78 2512) rigged for caribou rather than moose.

I guess my big point is that any decent head that's sharp will do the job if it has enough energy behind it and the hunter does their part to put it on target.

Drop tine I am worried that i dont have the arrow weight for rages I shot a 28 inch 250 grain arrow. My bow set up is a 28.5 DL 28 Pound Matthews FX if that helps

Most people don't have a setup that readily accomodates a rage BH but, unfortunately, they don't know that. Good for you for at least considering the possibility.

I have had good success, total pass throughs, with:

    125 grain slick trick
    200 grain Muzzy Phantom
    200 grain Samurai
100 grain NAP 3 blade bloodrunner (not a passthrough but it shattered the offside leg)
    125 grain G5 striker

I use Rage and have yet have a deer hold an arrow, all pass through. It might be do to my bow but I can't complain. 70 lbs draw X-force 385 grain arrow at 308 fps.

The best penetration I've gotten was using Zwickey Eskimos out of a 54# recurve. 550gr arrow.

    Honestly, I was joking.

I have had issues when I was shooting too light of an arrow. Aside from a few select occasions, I have had mostly pass through shots with Rage heads.

    My current set-up is a 10.3gpi Easton Axis N-Fused 350 at 29" fixed with a 100g Rage 2-Blade out of a Bowtech Assassin at 68.72lbs and 29" draw(including D-loop).

I've yet to arrow a deer with this set-up, but, I would venture to guess that I will not have any issues. I'm a TOUCH underspined, but, everything should be ok.

My Rocky Mountain Warrior fixed blades were great. Slick Tricks were great. My all time favorite boadhead- Rocky Mountain Snyper.

I feel like if I bump my arrow weight up i could use a rage three blade ( the broadhead I currently have) however, I feel like a fixed blade would be beter penetration. I feel confident that I can place the arrow where I want it so I shouldn't need a huge BH. And mainly I a, leaning towards a fixed point anyways

By far my best is my current broadhead. It ia a 150 grain Magnus Stinger Buzzcut 4 blade. I only shoot 58#@28" draw. I have them on ACC Prohunter 440's. I extremely pleased with how they performed this year. Complete passthrough on my 2year old buck this year and caught ribs coming and going.
My son uses the Magnus Stinger 4 blades at 40#'s and 24" draw length and gets passthroughs.

My arrows are 418 grains with 19% foc
My sons are 340 ish aluminum 1716's_

Muzzy 3-blades right out of the package. I killed at least 15 deer with Muzzy 3-blades over the years and was very pleased. Prior to that I used whatever was at the store without any thought b/c I was uneducated. I used a 70 lb bow with a 28.5 inch draw. My arrows might have weighed a total of 375 grains.

Is 28# a typo? If not I'd want a lot more than a 250 grain arrow. Is that 250 grain without the broadhead?

Kodiak, my guess is that 250 is the spine.
