Depending on price range. I really like both my MP6 and Black 60 made by DLC Covert.

Some of the DLCs, Scoutguard, and Bushnells are all pretty good units in the $200 range. I think the Moultrie M80 is very hard to beat for the price....about $120. I also like the pics I have seen from the Litl Acorn.

    Blessings.......Pastorjim

I really like my ltl acorn cams the new 5210a with the blue/black flash you cant see the flash go off at all which is a big deal for me, any cam i get from now on will be black flash. They have a shorter flash range the a reg ir or strobe flash but the deer dont run from them and thats why we are using them for scouting deer not changing there patterns by spooking them with the flash right! so you will need to set the cam closer to the trail or mineral site,or even a scrape site and being close to the site you will need to be more scent free when setting up the cam
I am getting to be where i set the cam up down wind if at all possible and where gloves and even spraying everything down that i touch with scent killer. as soon as the deer sightings start to plunge you have tipped the deer off and it's time to move. Every time you visit the site you will reduce the chance of pics just like you do when you are hunting from your fav tree stand so treat it as such.

It's hard to say what a deer can see as far as the flash of a black flash cam model I have had a few deer look at them but not running off like my red blob cams do,so for me thats a big difference to me.

If you buy a reg ir cam i would try placing the cam out of the line of sight of the deer i use a small step ladder and place the cam 8-13 feet up in the tree depending on the terrain and i still get a few deer look up the cam if it's in video mode where the ir lighting runs longer.

    Good luck.....

check out some of the trailcam review sites before buying a cam, some dont have very good battery life and others
have slow trigger speeds and or blurry pics... but i would check more than one because they all dont agree.

I would take a serious look at the ltl acorn cams ,dlc, and the bushnell blackflash cams also.

You can pm me and i will give you some scoop about the primos cams.

Only one brand is offering Long Range, be it red IR or black IR. That's Scoutguard/Bolyguard.

The bushnell trophy cams are great cams for the money! they also make a black flash version. I actually dont like the black flash as much because nighttime photo quality suffers. But the daytime pics are the best and clearest i have ever gotten.

I'd look at DLC, Spypoint, and the Bushnells...as previously stated check the trailcam forums and review sites.

I am a big fan of the moultrie m80. for 2012 moultrie has motion blur reduction and fast fire mode (3 pictures per second I think).

I've had 3 Moultrie m80s and they have been great.

I just bought the M80 Black, and will be putting it out in the next week!

Bushnell makes a really good camera. Just stay away from the 119467 model. They have had video and audio problems with those.
