I used a can of Sterno in my pup tent back in my Military Police days when snow was a foot deep up the sides. :)

I just bought the Mr.Buddy heater and it worked awesome the other day. The temp was 5 degrees and I only had it on the lowest setting. Needless to say I was toasty.

The Mr. Heater Buddy heater is really nice if it's really cold, and/or you have a BIG blind, on low they still go through a pretty good deal of propane, as D34 said you will be TOASTY. In Sask we use little ones like the the one in the link below, they work really well if you're not looking to be in a sauna and dont take up a lot of room, last about a day and a half on a tank of propane.

I sit in a DB Crusher and it's a decent size blind. I haven't really used mine enough to see how long it lasts but am really glad I bought the "6 pack" of propane bottles.

dont know anything about ground blind heaters but in my ice shack (Clam Yukon) Mr. Buddy work just fine!!!!!!!!!! let me rephrase. if im alone i dont use a heater at all... if littleshooter, D34, PatMCc or any of you other fools wanna come drink some beers and fish i'll turn it on =-)

gotta be careful on the older models not to cross-thread the female threads.... then you'll need the "touch" to get it to work!!!!

1 can usually lasts ~4hrs on high
