Ok I know this will be fun...but somewhere amongst the Bigfoot to Black Panther replies I seriously want to know what kinda skull this is. I had thought maybe a smallish bear skull, but someone well versed on bear skulls says no.

May be an easy answer..I'm just a displaced Northern Guy trying to make good in the South. Seems to big to be wild canine?

    Found in Georgia Mountains:

Looks like a big dog. You can tell from the shape that it is definitely not a bear or a cat.

It looks to me like a large dog skull. Probably one of the large mastiff breeds like a Great Pyrenees or St. Bernard. The males of those breeds have really big heads. If you Google "dog skull" you'll find images that look almost identical. Yep, that'd be one really big dog, but I've got a male Great Pyrenees whose head is that big. He weighs right at 135 pounds now and he's still filling out. He's an imposing presence to say the least.
