We all have seen the threads as to what our various hobbies are (often in addition to hunting/archery). I'm curious as to what makes your number one hobby (meaning the hobby you spend the most time, money, and effort into) stand apart from the rest? What is it that makes it so important to you? Were you always this passionate about it? Do you feel this will stay with your for a lifetime?

Random questions I know, but something to discuss I suppose:D

    Ice hockey.... easily.
I just love it and if i dont play at least once a week it feels like theres a void.
I have many hobbies that are all mostly seasonal (hunting, fishing, skiing, etc) But i can go play hockey pretty much all year which is nice

    Trail running:
    - I love the feeling of the runner's high
    - I love being able to look at a mountain and say "Yeah, I ran up that."
    - I love the sound of just my breath and my soft, quick footsteps on a remote trail in the morning.
    - I love the simplicity of running.
    - I love challenging myself to run farther and faster.

I don't really have a good reason. Hunting/archery is just "in me." Sounds generic, but that's it. Can't see it changing, except for having more resources to further the passion. Also, can't wait to share it with my son.

I love fly fishing because I can constantly challenge myself somehow. Catch a specific species, in a specific location, during certain time of year, on a new fly, a different technique, etc. I lay awake at night thinking about this stuff. Bowhunting is the only other "hobby" that comes close. Its the challenge and attention to detail that draws me to both.

This time of year until Fall, I'm all about the pics you see, and I hope to be the oldest man in the world who still does it one day. I love it.

I suppose bowhunting ranks as my #1. Fishing is pretty up on my list, but doesn't take much money but I probably spend as much time or more fishing than hunting.
Hunting/fishing/guns/bows has jsut about always been my interests with levels varying between.
Never been a car guy, or ATV's or anything else.

My number one would have to be football. Although I stopped playing anything full contact, I still have a flag football team that I play on and it's a blast. It has always been my number one sport. But that being said, I probably think about and research hunting WAY more than I do football. It is new to me and really get's me excited. Up there with hunting is riding my dirtbike. I just got into racing on it and am addicted. Only problem is that for the last two years I have been too busy with other obligations that I never make it out anymore. Also I bought myself a ski boat and really started getting into wakeboarding and wake surfing. Surfing is a blast and doesn't hurt when you crash. Here are some pics.
