What is "fresh sign"?

    I am a little different than most. All "fresh" sign tells me is where a Buck has been, it does not necessarily tell me where he will be later however. That sign usually doesn't tell me if it was from legal hunting hours or the middle of the night either.

    This is why I hardly ever hunt "sign". I hunt more or less what I would call "locations". Most times there is sign throughout these locations but that sign is usually not why I am hunting that particular spot.

    I think I just rambled on there, I am not sure I actually replied to your post in the manner in which you asked.......

    One example would be if I found a lot of fresh tracks that indicated some chasing was going on around a doe bedding area. Especially if there were some new rubs that had popped up. Usually in late Oct-early Nov. I'd try to hunt it that evening and possibly the next morning.
