People out here often times take elk hunting for granted. I am literally covered in elk in less than an hours drive and a two mile hike.

If I could offer any advice, start now. CO is about as good as it gets, lots of public land and loads of elk. A few members on here have a somewhat annual trip every year as well. I realize this hunt may seem intimidating but it is seriously so attainable, it's ridiculous. Please PM if you have any questions, I would be obliged to help you in any way that I could.

I am hoping to make the hunt become reality in the next two years! right now I don't have the time or money to get it done, mostly the time away. I will be in touch to start the planning process soon. thanks.

One is to own enough land where I can somewhat manage a deer herd and provide the herd with all the necessities; water, food, bedding.

It would be awesome to be able to walk out my door and go hunting.

Two is to archery hunt alaskan yukon moose. These animals simply amaze me everytime I see one.

My goal when I was young ( 20 ) was try to live to 50 without getting killed or dieing. After that I figured I would be too old to care anymore. Now that I am almost there... the new goal is to make it to 51.

Bowhunting back then... it was killing a buck that made P&Y... then killing one over 150... then killing one over 170. Now it is to kill one bigger then buckeye as he is kicking my arse most years. :hater:

Seeing Britney hunting and killing her first deer.

Go elk hunting with Troy ( shed33 )

Having a beer with Chris Miles and laugh how the world went gay and guys turned it to whiny, beotching pansies.

Seeing my kids do well in life and be happy is the most important one.

Getting to see pillaging and raping women pirates before I die. That is just not something a guy gets to see in North Dakota. :lmao:

I've got three long term attainable goals I would love to someday reach.

#1- There's a power company where I live I've been trying to get a job with for the past 2.5 years. My goal is to be hired on with their company and someday retire with them.

#2- I want to bench press 350lbs someday.

#3- I'd love to someday become a preacher.

My current goal is to see my daughter graduate from high school. The next goal would be to see her graduate with a Veterinary degree. After that it is to be mostly self sufficient in retirement.

Siman, Serving your country can be accomplished in many ways. It need not be through the military. Police Officers, Firefighters, Federal agent, working at our embassies in foreign countries... Or something as simple as being polite while travelling abroad. No matter how you approach it, you will be successful at serving. Mark

Note that the title lists "Somewhat attainable"... not nutsy hell-freezes-over fantasies. :lmao:
