As I get older my dreams change. Now, the only real dreams I have are of exploring as much of North America and the Caribbean with my family as I can. I want to see the look in my kid's eyes when they see some of the awesome things I have been very fortunate to see and to discover new things with them.

I couldn't care less about fancy food, but I too had the same goal as you originally for turkeys....until I realized I simply don't want to travel to Nevada, Maine, North Dakota, and the likes and only hunt a freakin turkey...

I do want to reach the 150 turkey mark (legally). I'm barely 10-15% of the way there, but I'm also pretty young.

Well then we're going together, because we share the same goal.

You all have some awesome goals. As I get older I realize that I need to be a little more focused on some of the things that really make me tick and dream. I have been too passive in my opinion.

Damidmil, I have been where you could do this. I was on a caribou hunt in the Ungava Bay region of Quebec. We caught absolute GIANT brookies and lots of lake trout. In fact, the first trout I ever causht in my life was a brookie that was close to 4 pounds on my second cast there. My buddy that had been a trout fisherman his whole life nearly had a stroke when I carried it over to him and asked him what it was. lol. They offer fishing trips only and you would be in heaven. I went with Cargair Outfitters and flew out of LG4. You want to go to the far north fly-in camps for the big brookies. I have gone twice and would gladly answer any questions you might have. The wilderness is pristine and I would go back just to lay on the beach at night and watch the northern lights and listen to the wolves sing.

As far as my dream, I would love to spend part of every summer in Alaska. It is the most amazing place I have ever seen. Come to think of it, that Quebec trip every year would also be a dream come true.

Actively pursue your goals. We get no guarantees about how long we get to stay on this earth and it would be better to be remembered as the guy who did what he wanted to do than the guy who wanted to do but never did.

One is to own a log cabin with no neighbors anywhere close by.

Other one is to complete an Ironman. I attempted last year but was only able to make it 116 miles. Heat and hydration did me in that day. Taking this year off to focus on other stuff but will be back at it big time come next year and will be in Kentucky in August 2013 to give it another shot!

    My not-so-secret goals...

Ones I've had for a long time:
    1) My sister and I share this one... We become pirates and rape and pillage our way around the caribbean.
    2) Own 40 acres, a horse and a 18' tipi.
    Rather divergent, I know.

    More recent goals:
    1) Be a sculptor
    2) Bow hunt moose
    3) Get out of Illinois
    4) Shoot a 100+lb alligator gar
    5) Hunt elk

One of my lame goals was to own a pool. Today I bought one. One of those cheapo above ground deals. 16' x 48".... but by golly, it's in a big box in the back of my truck right now. :)
So.. new short term goal... get pool usable.

    I don't know about secret...

But.. when the kids get into school I'd like to get on the school board.. because it seems to me they need someone with common sense.

Then.. when the wife and I finally choose our town to settle down in.. to become involved in that town and eventually run for mayor.

Take my wife to Ireland.. where her family is mostly from.. and to go to Germany.. where mine is from.

My goal is to go with my kids and visit Scotland, Ireland, Norway, Germany and Scandinavia. All the places our family is from.

A smaller goal of mine is to live long enough to see my beloved Philadelphia Eagles win the Super Bowl, my fingers are crossed on this one.

Buying a Sprinter conversion van and traveling all over north American bow hunting different animals and seeing our beautiful country.
Already looking through the brochures and logging info on outfitters and such.

The Lord has been good to me and blessed me already with many things I dreamed of.

Heck ya they will, Curry rotating in too at DE. Let's just hope with Ryans and Kendricks that the LB's can hold up there end of the bargain playing in the wide 9 technique.
