I don't understand how guys could say the coverage was "terrible". The bh.com guys have posted more ATA content than anyone else I have seen. Like stated I have spent the past few days browsing the YouTube channel a little at a time and still have barley scratched the surface. Don't really know what some guys are expecting. Also I think the bh.com guys did a FANTASTIC job with covering other companies that are not sponsors. Shows true professionalism on thier part.
The guys here do a fantastic job. Of course they have to hit all of their sponsors first. It would be idiotic not to. But I saw them doing a ton of non-bowhunting.com stuff afterwards. Its a big show, and I'm quite sure between doing their sponsor products, meet and greets for their own show as well as hitting as much of the "actually interesting" new products.. its a long three days. Hats off to you folks and thank you for all you do. Yes, even you Justin... ;-)
The one product that caught my eye and I was interested in right away was the Sitka Bowsling. I already found out it's going to be 90 dollars which is pretty ridiculous but if I can find a reasonable deal I'll probably pull the trigger. Also the Mantis blind by NAP was a product that I may purchase in the future.
Remember that a few people don't speak for everybody. Just opinions. If people are interested and they want to find the products or coverage, they'd find it.
Maybe my reply was a bit misworded. I just didn't see the sheer content that I did in years past. This year I admired the variety of methods that the guys here took to cover the show. I am not faulting them for them for the lackluster show, I just don't see why this one got a bunch of hype, as I thought I saw much more last year. The whole Facebook, snapchat, instagram etc thing was really cool. Good job guys.
Justin, thanks for the great website. You guys work hard to give us a place to call home with our fellow hunting brothers and sisters from around the country.
Watched some of the YouTube footage. I think it would come out better if you used a dual mic setup. The interviewer has a wireless lavalier (lapel) mic setup and that way they can keep the handheld branded mic in front of the interviewee rather than switching back and forth. Great coverage getting around to everyone!
Maybe one or two blinds, that's about it. Of course the RX1 was revealed prior to the ATA and is likely to be the product of 2018 in my opinion. I like the concept of the new rage extreme, but at what cost have those fixed blades been added. So much for field point accuracy. I'll stick to the 2-blades. 4k cameras? big deal. I think the $100 price point cameras are still where its at for most hunters.
