Kind of...but not really... The first poll was for Bowhunting mags. This one is for general hunting mags.
Over all (non bowhunting specific) I like Field and Stream. Deer and Deer Hunting is a close second and third, I like Peterson's Bowhunting.
Wow, no sense of humor exists within this thread. Sorry to offend mates. I guess it's the messenger rather than the message. Grizz, who ya calling a **** head, Pat or I?
OH FOR CRYING OUT LOUD JEFF, LIGHTEN THE HELL UP. OMG. I guess your the only one allowed to bust balls or poke fun. Yeah, in all seriousness, I think your illiterate, give me a friggin break. Your actually offended by that. Man, you have thin skin. WOW!
Honestly, I let all of my subscriptions expire. I found that all I was doing was looking through the ads once, MAYBE reading an article or two, and tossing it out. The articles I read were pretty much regurgitated stuff that we've all read a million times over. How many ways can you say "Hunt food sources in late season" or "Hunt travel routes between doe bedding areas during the rut"? For what it's worth I can get all of the same info, and a lot more, online. If I was going to renew a subscription it would be to North American Whitetail. I do enjoy the big buck stories.
Pretty much sums it up for me. I still have Bowhunting and Field and Stream. I'm reading Bowhunting less and less, but F&S I like because of the variety and GREAT photography.
Deer and Deer Hunting from a quality of information provided perspective.North American Whitetail for seeing the biggest Bucks taken recently and reading about the story behind the kill.Big Buck from Canada for the best photography in any magazine you will purchase, and the bucks featured are all huge.My favorite Bow Hunting Magazine is Bow and Arrow Hunting, the editor Joe Bell tells it like it is.It never seems as if he has sold his soul to his advertisers.Lot's of practical real deal articles.
Quality Whitetails Magazine It's not necessarily a "hunting" magazine in the traditional sense, but it can be a great magazine for most people that have access to private land and some what for those on public.
