Honestly, I am reconsidering my complete set up. I shoot Beman ICS Hunter 300. I like heavier arrows and even these are not nearly heavy enough for my taste at 10.3 gpi. I will likely be shooting FMJ Dangerous Game next year and am considering a fixed two blade such as Zwickey or Magnus and going back to regular vanes or feathers. I am getting pass thru shots as I always have with my Muzzy heads and they shoot awesome... but for some reason, the vanes have been hanging up in the deer since I switched to Quick Spins.
I use the Carbon Hunters from Cabela's. I re-fletched them with Quick Fletch at the end of my season. They are cheap and durable, which works for me right now. I have a few other items on my "gear wish list" before new arrows.
I am using the Victory VAP V3's on my Creed and they have performed really well. I have had 2 pass through shots with them and they hit hard! Only thing I don't like is the inserts. I love the hidden inserts that Easton uses. I used the Easton Axis for 3 years and loved them. When I sold my Drenalin this year, I gave the guy 8 of the original 12 I still had from 2009. Then, I shot the Easton FMJ last year for the first time and I am hooked!!
Gold tips last year, bloodlines this year. Don't really care for the bloodlines. I seemed to group the gold tips better. I'm going back to those. And they were $10 cheaper. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I shoot beeman ICS bowhunter 340's, been shooting these for a couple years now, they shoot good, are pretty durable, and they don't break the bank too bad either, I have been very pleased with them.
Hey guys, looking for some advice...I'm looking to get some new arrows and was looking at either the Easton FMJ or the Carbon Express Pile Drivers. Would love any advice or recommendations you guys have on which ones penetrate better (mostly Whitetail hunting). Also how do these arrows fly "down-field" 50-60 yards? Appreciate the help!
