I know a lot of you are well-rounded bowhunters as far as different animal species go. Huck (Will) is a good example of this. I'm amazed at some of the things he has hunted, successfully.. Not me... Only animals I've ever killed with my bow are whitetails.. I really wish I would have taken my bow this past spring during turkey season. I killed 2 birds in Ohio (shotgun), but I think taking one with a bow will be a really proud moment for me..

Before I leave this world, I want to hunt Elk, Black Bear, Mule deer, Pronghorns, and obviously Turks..just to name a few. What is on your "bowhunting bucket-list" ??

I'd like to hunt a Koala one day.

Something about them fierce eyes makes me just go insane. Just sitting up there.. acting like they don't care while picking at the poor.. defenseless Eucalyptus leaf.

Couldn't you just see a Koala bear with a hawaiian shirt and a pair of shades on my wall.

    Bet they're good eatin' too.

Elk for me, everything about it would be amazing, the environment, the sounds, the thrill, and the trophy at the end of coarse, even the hike back with the elk packed in your pack would be a great memorable moment.

    LOL....good stuff.

Yea I agree Jeff, I should have mentioned its more about the hunt for me than the end result as well.. Just being in the Rocky Mountains one day going after elk will be a dream come true. Only time I've ever been out there was on a skiing trip to Colorado. Man I love the Rockies..

I wanna go after Elk one day. I'll have to give Will a call.

Another that Ive always wanted to hunt is Hogs, they seem like a ton of fun.

    Nothing else(different) really interests me...

There are quite a few, but by far would definately be a Dall Ram, but I doubt I will ever have the opportunity to go.

Moose, Elk, Kodiak Brown Bear, Antelope, a narly non-typical Mulie, Black bear and a bunch more would also be on the bucket list.

For some reason, bowhunting stags in New Zealand just sounds fantastic. Or Elk in Colorado. Those two things sound......brilliant!

    For North America

    Brown Bear
    Black Bear
    Musk Ox
    Bison
    Mt Lion
    Columbian Blacktail
    Elk
    Moose
    Caribou
    Mule Deer
    Coues Deer
    Dall Sheep
    Mt Goat

    New Zealand Tahr and Chamois
    Australian Water Buffalo
    Argentina Black Buck
    African Lioness/Leopard
    Spanish Ibex

IF I ever complete such a list, I'll think of more then. I want to kill my representative slam of NA to cover all corners of our continent, and take atleast one species from all continents minus Asia. I'd like to experience it all atleast once.

Add those archery animals onto my Sitka Blacktail, Whitetail, and Pronghorn and I will be one happy dude. :D

Although these are serious goals, to be serious for a second...I truly just want to experience as many different places in the world with bow in hand as possible. Hunted the Eastern Hardwoods, the Alabama Pines, The Dakota Badlands, Alaskan Alpine,,,up next is the Arizona Desert. Who knows after that? Only live once, I plan on living it up.

You guys are making my list bigger...

The Heartland Bowhunter guys have me wanting to hunt geese with my bow. Any one see that? Look like a lot of fun....

Hogs too... They are starting to multiply like crazy in south central Indiana where a friend of mine runs a guide service (Backwater Outlaws). Pretty new to Indiana, but their population is growing and they are apparently causing a lot of damage.. Nasty, mean things. He told me last year when I was shotgun hunting with him, to shoot at will. I didn't see any when I was there but my little bro did.

My cousin has been drawn 2 times in the last 8 years in Wyoming.. Wish I had a pic of his big bull from 2004, but all I got is a winter kill he found while hunting last year. Guide gave him a tag to take it home..

Realistically I want my Elk first ( 2010 is my second year of trying ) , then either Whitetail deer or Mule deer , then Black bear and then Turkey .
I'd love a chance at a Mountain Goat , but that may be too expensive .

I could quite easily get hooked on the Elk hunting though , i love the mountains and the sound of that Bugle . Amazing .
