Shot a doe today at about 12 yards broadside i was 16 feet up a tree. Shot looked good the dear ran away quick i grunted it to a halt to see if i could get her to bleed out sooner and she kept on twitching her tail. I went down to look for the blood trail and the arrow.. Found the arrow with some fat some meat and some hair.. left for a while and came back 3 person grid search and found nothing not a drop not a hair.. where'd i hit her? it couldnt have been more than a foot behind the front shoulder s i could only see the vitals and up from behind a tree..

Well if I had to guess probably in the shoulder if you shoot them there it's almost no blood. What did the arrow smell like and how much of it was covered in blood
