The Tru-talker has worked well for me...I also made a couple of my own - 1 loud buck grunt that I can vary pitch with pressure(open double reed) and one doe bleat(open reed) I can adjust the bands and have other reeds I can change/use for predator calling(howls, injured pups, squeals and fawn distress)...they are actually pretty easy to make and use - just takes a little time and practice and figuring out your positioning and reed thickness. Grunted in my 8pt with my own call this year and I used the Tru-talker to calm down a lot of deer as well when they busted me but weren't sure.

Ive also have the buck roar and the hyper growl. i like the both. If i have to choose It would be with the hyper growl cause Ive had more success with it.

Good thread. Going to be changing after i forgot to put the Flextube back in my coat about a month ago and missed a brute. yep, hit the &$%@& tube with my string. Pulled the call out of my mouth, smacked me in the face with the call, broke the tube off, and missed the deer by about 8 feet. It did call him in from a ways out, that's why the tube wasn't in my coat. Everything worked great except that last second or so.

    God I love bowhunting!!!!!!

I have a flex tone... I like it for grunting, not so keen on the doe and fawn. I also figured out (when I was about 16) how to grunt using my own throat, by inhaling and closing my throat, makes a low pitch vibration that sounds pretty darn close to the real thing. I've called in several deer with it. Maybe I'll post a video if I get time???
