I prefer to get numerous cheaper ones. You can scout more trails and areas of your property alot quicker. I have found infrared flash to be overrated because the deer do not seem to be affected by the flash. Battery life is obviously important. I have found that moultrie and bushnell work the best.

Yeah, I prefer the cheaper ones cause you never know when there gonna get stolen. I'm more concerned with whats on the camera rather than how good the picture quality is. I have a moultrie d-55ir and I absolutely love it. And yeah i could go out and pay $250 a pop for a cuddie back but why? My moultrie works just fine.

If you are just wanting to do an inventory of what's out there then stick with a cheaper model. Everybody has their own preferences but I happen to like units that take video with audio.
