What draw weight and speed ?

    What draw weight do you find needed for a Elk, Moose, Black Bear, and Brown Bear ? The bow I am looking at is a Bear Encounter Package from Hunter's Friend. It's max draw weight is 70 lbs at 308-310 fps.

    yeah it would e fine at those speeds/ draw weight. just make sure to have a heavy arrow with good FOC and a sharp fixed blade head.

    You'll be fine. I use that with a maxima 350 and a sharp killzone. Works flawlessly.

    I agree. I shoot 65lbs with arrow weight of 405 and speed of 276ish. I shoot elk fairly regular with that set up.
