Sorry, but no one is going to be able to see the pic you've tried to attach.

I see that the link has "desktop" in the text. If you're on a computer instead of your phone you should be able to simply right-click on the pic, click "copy" and then reply to this thread, right click in your reply and click "paste".

You should have been able to do the same thing in your initial post.

I'm not very good at guessing scores, but maybe a few of the other guys who are will chime in soon. @Fix , @Tony @cls74, what do you guys think this buck will score?

132 3/8 from me, brows give him enough to get low 130's with decent spread. Good 8 point regardless, but nothing monstrous to him, so to speak.

I was gonna say low 130s. Looks a lot like my 2018 buck. No clue about next year. Too many unknowns, but I'd wager better than 130s. Lol.

Here's my reasoning behind it. Has better brows than this one did and it went 129 4/8. Take a little from the beams, add a little to the brows...

Shoot him and find out is all I can say:lol:

Need a profile to make a assessment. Gun to my head mid 130s maybe high 130s and not sure how you know the age but 4 turning 5 could mean anywhere from 10-25 inches. Great looking buck.

That's a great looking 8. I'm with the others, 132-136 or so. Great eye guards, width, and height. Hard to say for next year. If he stays an 8, maybe 10-15 inches. If he is a 10 next year, I'd think he'd be around 150" give or take.

For comparison, I am told this is a 5 year old. Think this one has less width than the photo you share. though I doubt you will see the height seen here. Lot of factors to consider. Two seasons ago when this deer was taken we had a very low moisture year. I was told something to the effect of, deer will consume roughly the same volume regardless of how thick & tall the vegetation is.

In this case with the near drought conditions during the antler growing season this bucks diet contained a more mineral dense diet which may have contributed to the bone mass attained. This guy grossed a bit over 160.

    160?
    Very deceiving pic.

Looks like a mid 130ish from that pic.

Not to be offensive, but someone has made a mistake in scoring. An 8 pointer that goes 150 or better is very big. That is a great buck with exceptional brow tines, but if it is an 8 point, which it appears to be, it would struggle to break 150. A 160's 8 point is a rarity and they look absolutely huge.

Screen Shot 2023-03-10 at 1.17.53 PM.png Ok, perhaps I do not know what I am doing. Suspect in the past I included a G4 score's that would not apply. Does this sound better? Gross 145 3/8 Net 141 1/2 ?

Yes, that looks accurate. Thanks for the update. Still a great 8 pointer anywhere you go.

Thank You! I did not mean to distract from the Ops thread. So care to speculate on how his buck in the shared photo may develop in the following season?
