What does the G mean in antler tine scoring?

    This may be a stupid question but I really do not know what the G stands for.Example:G1,G2,G3's etc.

    It doesn't stand for anything other than the alphabetical label to that step in the measuring process. H is Circumference, etc... it's steps are A thru H and G is the tine length step.
