Thanks again for all the great comments on my buck guys :) Just to let you know how I feel about the whole not going to make book as a typical. It dosent bother me to bad, but If I have one make it, im entering it. IMO p&y is flawed in the whole net thing taking away from some great bucks, but Ill still support them. after all if it wasnt for them we would have not came together as hunters, and be discussing this here. This is something That just years ago before being able to utilize some management practices, was just a pipe dream to me. Started bowhunting 30 years ago and had always heard of the p&y scoring thing, but never thought I would be even close to taking a buck worthy of it. Things have changed for me as I evolved as a Hunter and now it is a very real thing for me, that If I play my cards right, I have a chance at this every year. but likely thats not going to happen,,,thats hunting ;) Your all a great bunch of guys/gals and im proud to be able to call all of you my friends ;):)

Yeah, weight would not work. Pine needles as a main food source coupled with mild winters make our deer pretty light on the hoof. I believe a guy who tells me he killed a 160 more than a guy who says he killed a deer that went 225 on the hoof...Some of the does you guys kill make our bucks look smallish.

Tribal my friend. He has not yet been officaiil scored yet (waiting on 60 days dry time) But go to the official score scheet in the contest thread. grab my numbers and plug em in, its shocking  Its all good, I love what I laid on the ground this year, any way the numbers go, is still not going to take away from what he is, and the two seasons I had encountered on this buck ;) there just numbers :)

That is a great buck crick...congrats again! Probably my favorite on this site this year...both rack and story :)

I agree, the system is flawed ... but it is what it is. I don't have to worry about it too much, considering I've seen 2 in 25yrs around here that would GROSS over 125". I'd still love to get one and will keep trying.

Crik, congrats again! Hell of a buck!
I don't think I'll ever enter a buck in any book if I kill one large enough to qualify. I just use the GROSS scoring system as something to go by when talking about and remembering certain bucks. Could care less about net.

To every endeavor there are bench marks, they are but that alone. A special memory, especially one as special as the taking of a wonderful animal, is it's own reward. Any benchmark you want to use for comparisons are only that - the experience, the effort, the memory - that is the reward; that is the legacy.
