That's Dusto's department and he's been slacking of late. I'll be hunting mulies with him this fall so we'll have that going for us at least. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I also like the idea of a viewer submitted video. Secondly, after reading all of the replies, I would also like to see a clip or two on how to read topographic maps. They're too hard to understand when reading articles online and I haven't been able to find any videos on Youtube regarding reading them and setting up strategically.
Someone mentioned a few pages ago giving rut activity updates from the team members across the country. Shooting and equipment prep for the year. How does each of the BHOD crew prepare episode for example. Maybe some education on topo maps (travel patterns, bedding, etc...) as that seems to be thread that gets posted over and over here on the forums. Public land hunting for whitetails. This can be a very frustrating aspect for many of us hunters, but can also be very rewarding when you tag a deer that many, many other hunters are also chasing.
Something I hardly ever see on deer hunting show.. hunting does and tactics for hunting does. Occasionally I'll see where a guy takes a fat doe after their buck is down, but it's rare and the never have a show dedicated to hunting those smart old does. I am all for taking a old buck and being proud of a nice wall hanger, but I can't eat antlers... it's all about the meat for me and that means taking does.
I think some more technical stuff would great like bow tuning or plot layout. May be some bow hunting solution s for those of us that are a little less fortunate and have less than ideal areas too hunt
I would love to see Justin kill Baconater. I probably would even be more excited than Justin if he does. I would also love to see a picture of Justin's holding a big buck. I don't care if he had bad or no footage at all, but I just think Justin deserves to kill a big buck.
There should be a bear on in two weeks, and if everything works right this fall there should be a bunch more stuff this fall!
More hunts with the staff and their families. I have kids and love to watch how other hunters get their kids involved
I think it would be awesome to see hunts from all over the place. 90% of all the hunts on BHOD are either from Wisconsin or Illinois. I'd like to see hunts from the southern, eastern and western part in the US as well.
I think they have hunts from Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Wyoming, Indiana, Missouri, Ohio, West Virginia, and Nebraska. Most is in the Midwest but like MnMoose said they are starting to spread out.
