I was thinking today while walking out to my area, "darn, that's a long walk" and trying to figure out what other options I have then just grabbing the ol' Antlers. I have a old snow plastic sled, anyone use that method?

If you have a better way of dragging out your deer, don't be afraid to share :)
    -Thanks!

I use a cart that was used to pull kids behind a bike with. Works just like a deer cart just a little wider.

We drag it by hand until we get to a logging road and then load it up in the tractor. Usually it's not so bad.

If I'm here at home and by myself this is basically what I do. I drag it by hand out into a clearing then get my skid steer.

I have used a peice of coal belt for years! It has a 1"x1" metal tube bolted across the front of it to keep it from folding! There is a rope from corner to corner with a snap hook in middle! I attach that to rear rack on quad, there are 3/8" holes punched all down the belt sides! Once loaded i lace Deer in like boot laces! Works fantastic and dosent wear out like sleds over time!

Right now I'm stuck doing it the "man" way :D but hopefully not before long I get myself to make myself a contraption. The walk would be brutal with a big boy.

I was able to find the older style, smaller, deer cart by API. I saw them online last year at Sears.

Use the little strap that comes with hss harness. Although I'm lucky I only don't haveta drag one very far before I can get to it with atv or truck.

Depends where I'm hunting....if I'm at home most of my place is accessible by atv. Or I may have a short drag to a spot I can get atv to. If I'm going to public land I may have a long walk...then I have a coroner friend who gives me an occasional unused disposable body bag haha...I'll just zip them in it and makes easier to drag or pull with a strap

Honestly, A good cheap way is to just field dress it in spot, and then put it on a tarp and tie it up with parachute cord, then use a carabiner on a piece of larger rope to hook to the package, and then wrap the rope around your chest and lean into it, that way its your legs doing the work and not your arms. The tarp helps alot with static friction.

We use a deer cart that we modified with a longer handle hoop to get better balance, and to have to keep from stooping over when pulling it. Load the deer as centered over the axle as possible for good balance, use a couple of ratchet straps to secure the deer, and away we go. It has fairly large, spoked solid rubber tires, so it rolls over rough terrain and smaller logs easily. It sure beats the heck out of the old fashioned dragging method. Hopefully, next year we'll have another ATV, and that would be the ultimate!
