My Doberman Pinscher and a Benelli Nova with buckshot. For their sake I hope the bark or the rack scare them off.

Depends on what room of the house you are in when we decide to tango...
    I keep a loaded .22 pistol, 9mm and .357 :woot:

No children in the house so they are all ready to rock at all times. If we have any visitors with children all handguns immediately unloaded.

I have a alarm system that will wake you up as soon as any window or door touched second is my dog by then my wife and I will have both our Glock 27 for her and a Ruger .357 for me. Hopefully none of us will ever have to use force. People should just keep their grubby hands off anything that does not belong to them.

I have a S&W .40 cal that is the wife's and I have a Taurus PT92 Tactical in stainless w/ a 30 and 25rd clip!!! If 30 rounds don't make you drop a load in your drawers, the next 25 are sure as hell gonna make you wonder what sort of trap you fell into!!! Aside from that, I have a 165# Golden/Lab that is as friendly as anything as long as he senses things are "Ok," but when surprised, he's a very LARGE and scary animal. I came off the stoop at me one night when I was sneaking in the house and I was about to head out the door until he realized it was just me, then he turned back into his submissive self, but the dog that came off the stoop was anything but submissive. He has a LARGE, DEEP bark that will put anything within a country mile on alert as well.

.38 Smith revolver. About as accurate as throwing a rock blindfolded, but damn does that thing bark. Also, a 100 lb. American Bulldog. Barks like the gun, but would probably lick anybody who actually came through the door.

A 9-iron. If I need a little more range, I will grab the driver. And two cats. I know that seems like overkill, but you just never know about the crazies these days.
